Maria Shriver Dines with Oprah in Chicago

During one of the most difficult periods of her life, Maria Shriver found time to dine with one of America's most empathetic listeners on Monday night.

Shriver joined Oprah Winfrey, her partner Stedman Graham and Winfrey's best friend Gayle King for a meal, a source at Chicago's RL Restaurant tells PEOPLE.

"She was there with her daughters," the source said of Shriver. "The reservation was in Oprah's name." The group was at the restaurant "for several hours," the source said.

Shriver, who has said she and her children are working "to rebuild our lives and heal" after learning her estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger fathered a child with another woman, flew to Chicago Monday, where she was expected to film a previously scheduled segment with Gayle King for an upcoming special to air as part of the Oprah Winfrey Show.
