A World Without Books has been lived before?in the dark.

It?s funny to even think about such a thing?a world without books?especially in today?s world. Because really, what all do we have to eliminate to even begin to think of what the world would be like without books?

It?s easy to imagine a world with no books of paper on the shelves? we?re headed there quickly. But eliminating printed paper versions wouldn?t make books go away?we?d still have stories and knowledge in electronic format on ebook readers. And what about the internet? A blog could be a book, so could simple website pages, so I guess all those have to go too.

Hmm, now that we?ve shut down the internet, digital readers and paper books, we may as well turn out the lights because eventually, there won?t be anyone around who knows how to keep them on. So, there you have it, a world without books would be dark and empty. Therefore, a life with books must be light and full! And, of course, it is!

Whether it is chiseled into a cave wall, painted on animal skins, or tapped out on keyboard, we humans are compelled to record our stories and knowledge. We want to share what we?ve learned. I know I do. Many books left breadcrumbs for me to follow along my journey, and that?s what I want to do for others as well. Leave a new trail to follow?a shortcut through the muck that I didn?t have?a road map to get out of pain and into joy quickly!

Books are my lifeline and I don?t want to live in a world without them!
